YOGA THERAPY - A holistic and individualised approach to physical & mental wellbeing
.By it's very nature, the aim of yoga is to relieve suffering and support the realisation of one's essential true nature.
Yoga Therapy empowers the individual to realise their inherent wholeness and promote freedom from suffering through the application of yogic principles and practises.
Supported by evidence based scientific research Yoga Therapy is the application of yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health conditions.
This might include using specific practices such as movement, breath, meditation and mindfulness in order to
integrate body and mind.
Through this work we are addressing inbalances and restoring adaptive functioning to the physical (musculoskeletal), physiological (digestion, respiration, cardiovascular, endocrine, and immune), and mental/emotional systems.
Yoga therapy is an empowering process for any individual that promotes self-care and encourages overall well-being by aligning to your specific needs and supporting you on a journey of self-discovery, wellness and finding that sense of wholeness again.
As a non-invasive holisitic practise it works particually well alongside other treatments and can be used to support long term health conditions and symptoms of subscibed medications.
Areas of scope include but are not limited to;
Stress, Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, Insomnia, Diabetes, Cancer Support, Menopause, Perimenopause, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain, Perinatal Health, Long Covid, COPD, Back Pain, Heart Disease.
Sessions can be conducted in my private yurt studio or for those that are far away or prefer it, via Zoom.

GROUP YOGA THERAPY - creating community, connection & calm
I offer Group Yoga Therapy sessions to specifc health groups, working with different charites to support and promote healthy habits, wellbeing and self-care in community settings. Contact me if this is of interest to your organisation or community.
I also run The Minded Institiute's 8 Week Yoga Therapy for the Mind course for individuals to sign up to or as a package for organisations.
