Service Description
Yin Yoga is a deeper, slower, supported practice, working with key elements of the body to bring about a union of body and mind. Themes follow the seasons and work with key areas of the body for that season. By using longer held poses, we put controlled, safe stresses on the body to release, strengthen and bring balance to the body and mind. We'll take you though a deep mindful practise, mainly floor based, poses are held for 3-5 minutes supported with props. We work on breath, mindfulness with the body and finish with a deep relaxation. Yin yoga is recommended for people with some yoga experience already. You will need a block, strap and bolster or equivalents for this class. Plump bedpillows work well as an alternative for a bolster.
