Service Description

Dorothy grew up in the Scottish Borders and was familiar with local wild foods from an early age. Inspired by her childhood foraging experiences, Dorothy studied and graduated with two degrees in Botany. She refreshed her botanical skills by completing a Certificate in Herbology at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh during lockdown. Dorothy enjoys sharing her extensive herbal wisdom and teaching people how to forage responsibly for common wild herbs. Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for uneven ground. Spaces for the session can be reserved here. Dorothy believes passionately that anyone can learn the skills to forage safely. She enjoys sharing her extensive herbal wisdom and teaching people how to forage responsibly for common wild herbs. Many of the most useful plants are not rare and exotic ones, but the ones that are often overlooked, growing on your own doorstep. Dorothy will help you mindfully connect with the natural world on a foraging foray and open your eyes to the fascinating ways you can benefit from your own local herbal treasure trove.
